Welcome to my Sweet Pea website.
I have been growing Sweet Peas since the late 90's, starting off by growing for local village shows in West Kent, then progressing gradually to exhibit at the Kent Federation of Horticultural Societies and then onto the National Sweet Pea Show. With the help of my wife, Dawn, we started to do Sweet Pea displays at The Kent County Show back in 2014 up until 2019, winning six consecutive Gold awards including two Top Gold awards. Then at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show from 2023 where we have won two Silver Gilt medals in 2023 and 2025 and a prestigeous Gold Medal in 2024.
In 2025 I won the National Sweet Pea Society 12 vase Championship Class for the first time, having come second and third in previous years.
During our build up to exhibiting at Chelsea I saved all my seeds over a couple of years and packaged up the seeds into packets of individual varieties, selling them at the show as an impulse purchase. We sold out by the end of the show! I increased my production to try and satisfy demand and started to receive requests to offer a mail order service. Even with increasing my seed production it has been a challenge to find enough time and space to grow enough to warrant opening an on line service. However, as from the autumn of 2025 we are pleased to announce that our web shop will be open for business. There is a limited supply on all of our available varieties.
The varieties that are listed are all tried and tested either as part of our displays or in my exhibits at the National Sweet Pea Show.
Many of the varieties that I grow are highly scented and there will be an indication of the strength with each listed variety.
The basic rule is that the old fashioned or heritage varieties are the most highly scented and amongst the bigger frilly 'Spencer' types the pastel shaded varieties usually have a stronger scent than their bolder, brighter relations.
